Three Generations of Master Craftsmen
Marco De Lellis, the founder of Marco's Art of Restoration, is a master antique furniture and instrument restorer with an incredible pedigree spanning three generations. Like his Italian grandfather, Marco is a rarity even among master craftsmen. Many of the techniques he utilizes were passed down to him personally by venerated master artisans and are virtually unknown elsewhere.
A native of Rome, Italy, Marco has over twenty five years experience in antique furniture and instrument repair, refinishing, restoration and custom furniture building. He received his fine arts diploma from the prestigious Liceo Artistico in Ripetta, Rome, Italy and honed his craft in Italy until moving to New York in 2001.
For the past 25 years Marco has been gratifying interior designers, antique dealers, galleries, museums, institutions, and individual clients with his superb master craftsmanship.
Because of Marco's extraordinary lineage and experience Marco has the unique capability of restoring almost any fine antique article of furniture, historical keyboard instrument or building a new fine piece.
